Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the timely and accurate completion of: 1) Property and US federal and state tax income returns and estimated tax payments that properly reflect the planning and positions taken by the Company while mitigating risks through appropriate documentation and disclosure. 2) Develop and refine the vision for federal and state tax reporting including continuous improvement, relationship management, and the integration with other company processes 3) Support the international tax department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation and review of consolidated federal and state corporate income tax workpapers and tax returns and ensure the accurate and timely filing of all tax forms
• Prepare and review state apportionment factors
• Prepare and review quarterly estimated and annual extension tax payments
• Assist in preparation/review of annual tax provision to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with ASC 740, including preparation of the tax footnote, deferred tax assets/liabilities, valuation allowance, UTPs, SOX documentation, etc.
• Assist in preparation/review of quarterly tax provision and tax cash forecasts
• Support and manage relationship with third party income tax compliance service providers
• Support and manage relationship with third party property tax service provider
• Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities as well as follow up on tax notices
• Perform/review monthly reconciliation of key general ledger accounts
• Support tax aspects of M&A diligence efforts
• Recommend and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency in tax compliance reporting and operations 
• Act as liaison between tax and accounting departments by maintaining, establishing and communicating proper policies and procedures
• Remain current on changes to tax regulations and processes.

Your qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Min 8 years of broad-based tax experience, preferably preparing tax returns utilizing tax software systems, in a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm

Preferred:

• CPA certificate
• MST or MBA
• Experience leading a team a plus
