Job Position Purpose/Summary

Based in the APAC HQ in Singapore, reporting into the Sr, Director International Supply Chain and Customer Fulfilment, and being a key member of the International and APAC regional Supply Chain and Customer Service team, the position will:

  • Assure consistent supply of product and delivery of world class service and differentiated solutions to the customers in Central Asia at optimal cost.
  • Act as key business partner to Commercial teams and distributors in the region.

All products across all customers and franchises in Central Asia

 

Accountabilities/Expectations

  • Establish, drive and lead effective product demand forecasting proccess and practices across channels and geographies of the Central Asia
  • Maintain demand and supply plan to accurately represent and support future customer demand over the next 12 - 24 months with specific focus on the next 3 to 6 months. Analyse and ensure alignment with financial budget.
  • Engage with all major distirbutors and key accounts in the region. Understand and guide their forecasting, inventory planning and ordering practices. Drive order pipeline covering 2 to 6 months forward period. Organise and lead monthly demand and supply planning reviews and drive continuous improvement.
  • Effectively communicate to the APAC region (Finance, Marketing, management), International and the relevant US based teams (OUS Distributor Experience, Global Planning, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing) as needed.
  • Ensure robust Forecast Accuracy metrics are in place, aligned with International process management and S&OP metrics (% abs forecast error at 2 months lag). Measure, analyse and communicate progress, for Central Asia and by distributor.
  • Drive consistent supply of product and delivery of world class service and differentiated solutions to the customers working with local 3/4PLs, US teams (OUS Distributor Experience, Global Planning, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing) and International Supply Chain as needed  closely monitoing fulfilment execution.
  • Ensure robust Service metrics are in place, aligned with International process management and contributing to regional S&OP metrics (Customer Back Orders $ and On Time In Full %). Ensure regular input by the US Distributor Experience team on root cause analysis by order line miss. Measure, analyse and communicate progress – for Central Asia and by distributor.
  • Identify gaps in supply and actively work on addressing with Global and International Supply Chain and/or communicating to the commercial teams and mitigating the risks.
  • Build and execute robust structures to address key issues specific or relevant to Central Asia: systematic forward planning for product with remaining shelf life meeting distributor requirements, fair share in global allocations in alignment with and supported by other International planners.
  • Have in-depth operational knowledge and be able to work independently with Avanos’s ERP and other planning systems and tools (SAP S4 Hana, DSX etc.). Fully utilise available tools to achieve efficiency and alignment adapting approach to the needs and specifics of Cenral Asia as needed
  • Be first point of contact for commercial managers and teams in solving day to day demand and/or supply issues. Represent Central Asia at the Global Distributor Experience meetings and ensure smooth two-way communication.
  • Actively work and asist to address and resolve cross functional issues adversely affecting supply to the Central Asian customers (master data, registrations, payment terms etc.)
  • Optimise end-to-end cost through
    • Avoiding and minimizing excess, obsolescence and product write-off across the full supply chain;
    • Identify and implement cost effective service solutions
  • Support and/or lead supply chain projects and new supply chain setup implementations in Central Asia, e.g. direct go-to-market, regional warehousing etc. as assigned.
  • Be a key member and contributor to the APAC regional and International Supply Chain and Customer Service team.
  • Represent Supply Chain and Customer Service for Central Asia in commercial management meetings and regional and global supply chain forums and activities.

Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills Required

Essential: Mandatory to ensure the job is done effectively and efficiently

  • 3 to 5 years experience in Supply Chain
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP and Advanced Planning systems
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Business acumen

  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience in managing supply chain and customer service in a regional environment, with numerous markets and distributors
  • English language proficiency

 

Specialized or Essential Knowledge Required (Optional)

Desirable: Not essential but generally considered to be required to do the job proficiently.

  • Relevant university degree or formal supply chain education
  • Knowledge of Pharma / Medical Devices supply chain, Quality & GDP standards.
  • Knowledge of Chinese Mandarin language
