Job Position Purpose/Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans to drive the growth of the long-term enteral feeding products and solutions across healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and via the Home Delivery service. This role combines clinical expertise with sales strategy to influence key stakeholders, provide education, and ensure optimal use of the company’s long-term enteral feeding portfolio.

 

Job Position Accountabilities/Expectations

  • Manage and grow key accounts within the assigned territory to meet or exceed sales targets as agreed with Regional Sales Manager.
  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships within the healthcare institutions, including clinical staff and administrative decision-makers to drive revenue growth.
  • To develop and execute strategic sales plans and seek out new avenues for revenue generation.
  • Lead contract negotiations and product conversions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing and Customer Service to support customer needs and drive account inititaives.
  • Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform territory planning and product positioning.
  • Support product launches and clinical evaluations.
  • To implement at Hospitals and selected Strategic Account(s) agreed promotional and educational activities & support as agreed with the Regional Sales Manager
  • To provide a day-to-day link between the Strategic Account(s)/ hospitals and Avanos for the effective flow of communication, training, business opportunities and Avanos products/services.
  • To communicate all competitor activity to the Sales & Marketing team.
  • Identify all possible profitable business opportunities for the Healthcare portfolio within the territory.
  • Serve as a clinical expert in enteral nutrition and feeding protocols.
  • Conduct in-services, training and clinical presentations for clinical staff.
  • Stay current on clinical guidelines and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • To document and update business opportunities, customer contact details, action plans and progress of related activities in SalesForce.com at regular intervals as agreed with line manager.
  • Manage SalesForce.com funnel for the territory; move opportunities through the pipeline.

 

  • Complete all administration, reports & requests within guidelines in a timely fashion as agreed with Regional Sales Manager.
  • Ensure effectiveness of journey plan on a regular basis to ensure maximum levels of service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Quality: Supports the organization to ensure an adequate and effective quality management system, supports the quality policy and sustains a quality culture.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skill Required

Required Qualifications:

  • Educated to at least ‘A’ level standard or equivalent vocational qualification. Nursing, Medical sales and a clinical background will be an advantage. Must be able to work alone & unsupervised for long periods of time.
  • Must be a Senior Sales Representative; demonstrable superior selling, negotiation, and presentational skills.
  • Prior experience in enteral feeding or related therapeutic nutrition area and knowledge of home delivery service is highly desirable.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Profociency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 90% depending on the territory
